Christmas and New Year are fast approaching and there’s loads of gigs coming up over the next few months before some off us rest up for the holidays.

Hopefully you already have a few gigs planned in but if you don’t or you’re looking for more we’ve decided to have one last big Solo Armada meet up at Gaz Brookfields gig at SWX in Bristol on 14th December to end whats been an incredible year for the community.

However there’s a few gigs leading up to Gaz that we think need mentioning if you can’t make it to see Gaz…OR you might want to go to as well! We drink…and we gig!

Join Gecko at St Pancras Old Church, London for a Christmas themed gig. A seasonal spectacular in the stunning surroundings of St Pancras Old Church and Gecko’s only headlined show in London for 2019.

Gecko is a North London based artist, his playful lyrics cover the big things in life; think iPhones, Libraries & Guanabana fruit juice to name but a few.

Nick’s songs are often tongue-in-cheek and cheerful, and on the rare occasion when fun IS poked (usually at himself) it is always with a wry smile and an element of satire.

Although primarily a solo effort Nick is with his band ‘Nick Parker and the False Alarms’ for this gig which is a folky/rocky/country affair. At a recent show the band were described as ‘A British Arcade Fire’, something that Nick was very pleased about.

Saturday 14th December

Support from B-Sydes (Full Band), Jake Martin

Tickets available HERE

This gig is the official Solo Armada Christmas Meet-up! And there’s a reason we want to spend it with Gaz! He has been one of the biggest supporters of the Solo Armada along with Jake and Ben since it began. For many he represents everything that is right about music and with him performing the new album, Lostfolk in full, it promises to be one of the best gigs of 2019.

If you’ve never been to a gig on your own or want to finally meet the people you’ve chatted to over social media this is the place to do it!

We have an events page on Facebook HERE with info on where we’re meeting for a few drinks before heading to the gig.

A few years ago, Gaz became the first unsigned act to sell out The Fleece, Bristol (450 cap). A feat he went on to achieve 5 more times, with the addition of his band The Company of Thieves. This has made his annual pre-Christmas shin-dig an unmissable tradition for his ever growing fan base. In 2017 the event was moved up a notch when it took place in Bristol’s Bierkeller and sold out there as well. Upon the release of Gaz’s 5th studio album, I Know My Place, the subsequent tour sold out at nearly every venue. Gaz’s 6th studio album, Lostfolk, is out now!

Gaz is an entirely independent musician, operating without the aid of a manager, record label or agent.
